ESR recruitment event / 4 March 2020 / Nantes

This event will gather all the project beneficiaries as well as the partner organisations in order to meet and interview the pre-selected candidates.

With the objective of being as fair and transparent in the selection process, the candidates will be interviewed for 30 minutes each, in front of a board of 9 to 11 persons (maximum) composed of members of the Recruitment and Skill Progress Committee and the Scientific and Training Committee. These Committees are representative of the institutions that will host the ESR, for their main training and for their secondments.

The recruitment strategy of FLOAWER fully complies with the Code of Conduct definition of merit. In this case, merit will not just be measured on researcher’s grades, but on a range of evaluation criteria, such as team work, interdisciplinary knowledge, soft skills and awareness of the policy impact of science.

At the end of the interviews, the candidates will be ranked and a collective decision will be made to assemble a coherent ESR team. The local eligibility of the laureate will be double-checked to ensure full compliance with MSCA ITN rules.

In order to facilitate the pre-selected candidates travel to Nantes, they will be awarded a fixed travel (+visa) and accommodation allocation, but interview through video-conference will be possible.

The final decision will be announced by the end of March. Non-accepted candidates will receive an evaluation report specifying the strengths and weaknesses of their applications.
