Centrale Nantes at OMAE

A large delegation from Centrale Nantes took part as usual in this year's International Conference on Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering in Madrid.

OMAE2018 is the ideal forum for researchers, engineers, managers, technicians and students from scientific and industrial communities from around the world to:
  • meet and present technological and scientific advances;
  • exchange ideas and experience whilst promoting technological progress and its application in industry, and
  • promote international cooperation in ocean, offshore and arctic engineering
In keeping with the OMAE conference track record for excellence, more than 900 technical papers were planned for presentation.

The 2018 edition was held in Madrid from 17 to 21 June.

LHEEA researchers presented their work on:
  • swell prediction,
  • modelling of wave-structure interactions and marine operations,
  • the effect of cargo liquefaction on cargo stability.
